Bring an Emergency Pet First Aid Kit
Bring an emergency pet first aid kit with you in the car, on the plane, or while you’re hiking or camping with your pet. It should contain your pet’s medications, a pet-safe antihistamine, antibiotic or antibacterial ointment, and gauze or bandages. It should also have latex gloves, tweezers, and a spare harness and leash.
Stay Hydrated
Keep your pet cool and hydrated throughout the trip. Make sure he has a cool, comfortable place to rest while traveling. Give him access to clean, fresh water. If you’re going camping or hiking, keep an eye on your pet to make sure he doesn’t get overheated.
